The Program of Rehabilitation of Palestinian Ex-Prisoners might not be suitable for female ex-prisoners also servecises provided, because it was mainly desighed for male presioners. That’s why this study aims to identify the degree of satisfaction about the “Rehabilitation of Ex-Prisoners Program”, the impact of the services provided by the Rehabilitation Program on the Palestinian released prisoners namely the women ex-prisoners. The study also highlights the most prominent obstacles encountered by the Program as seen by the women ex-prisoners. The study examines the different variables, related to age, place of residence, marital status, educational qualification, political affiliation, work, and duration of detention, to determine whether there are differences in the averages in the services provided by Rehabilitation Program and its role in the rehabilitation of women released prisoners. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive research method to investigate the variables of this study. To this end, the researcher used the questionnaire as a tool to collect data. It was applied to a sample consisting of eighty (80) freed female prisoners who were chosen by the random sampling method. The data was processed statistically by using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program (SPSS). The arithmetic averages, the standard deviations, the t-tests, the one-way ANOVA, the one-way ANOVA, the Tukey test, the Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient and the Pearson Correlation coefficient were all calculated. The results showed: - The female ex-prisoners rated the Rehabilitation Program’s overall services as very low. The most important role of the Program as seen by the ex-detainees women is the psychological counseling, while the economic empowerment came last. - The paramount obstacle to the rehabilitation program for the released female prisoners is the lack of coordination between the relevant institutions working in the field of released prisoners’ rehabilitation, whereas the study found that the least obstacle faced by the women ex-prisoners is the favoritism in the selection of services. - The absence of statistically significant average differences in the rating of the Rehabilitation Program and its role in the rehabilitation of the Palestinian released female prisoners correlated with the variables of Age, Place of Residence, Marital Status, Political Affiliation, and the Intervals of Detention, compared to the total ranking. However, the study showed differences associated with the academic qualification variable. The study revealed that there are differences in the field of health rehabilitation in favor of the female released prisoners who have obtained a diploma degree. The study also found that are differences allied to the Political Affiliation variable in favor of female released prisoners who are affiliated to Fatah. - The study found that there are average differences in the role of the Rehabilitation Program correlated with the Work variable in favor of the released women prisoners namely the students. However, the study revealed that there are no differences in the overall ranking of the Program due to the wide range of services provided by the Rehabilitation Program for female released prisoners - The study revealed that there is a positive correlation between the average variance of the Prisoner Rehabilitation Program and its role in the rehabilitation of the women released prisoners. However, it was found that there is no statistically significant relationship between the average variance of the Rehabilitation Program and the obstacles encountered by the Program. In light of the findings of the study, the researcher recommends to enhance the “Rehabilitation of the Ex-Prisoners Program” and support its role in the rehabilitation of the ex-detainees especially women. The researcher also recommends to develop comprehensive sets of services at the national level such as jobs that meet the needs of the labor market alongside counseling and rehabilitation to facilitate their re-entry in the society.
