| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to identify the role of government institutions in improving the quality of life for marginalized groups in Gaza Strip, the case study was applied to the Ministry of Social Development in Gaza Strip, The role of governmental institutions has been represented in (strategy, governance, funding) to measure their role in improving the quality of life for marginalized groups beneficiaries of the Ministry of Social Development in Gaza Strip. The study used the descriptive analytical approach to suit the nature of this study. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources, secondary sources included (books, periodicals, published studies and reports issued by official authorities) The questionnaire was also designed as a study tool to collect data and the study population consisted of 60 workers works at (high and middle management) of the Ministry of Social Development in Gaza Strip, (55) questionnaire were recovered with a recovery rate (91.7%), used for analytical purposes, also focus group method was used as a source for obtaining primary data from beneficiaries (marginalized groups), five focus groups were implemented, distributed to the regions of (Gaza Strip) by (12) people for each group, and their attitudes were analyzed to make comparisons between the focus groups' opinions and the opinions of workers in the Ministry of Social Development to determine the reality of this group in Gaza Strip. The main results were: The weakness in the government role represented by the Ministry of Social Development in Gaza Strip, where the relative weight of this dimension reached (43.8%), and in the same direction the results showed a weakness in the quality of life for marginalized groups by weight Relative reached (46.8%), also the results showed that their is a positive effect of statistically significant dimension of funding in improving the quality life of marginalized groups, where the value of this effect reached (0.830), which means that doubling the level of funding from the current level will contribute to improve their quality of life by (83%), while the dimensions of strategy and governance haven’t an effect in improving the quality of life for these marginalized groups. The study recommended the necessity to unify the work efforts in the ministry through the approval of an administrative case far from the political differences, and not to exceed them so this case enables the unification of labor systems serve the marginalized groups and facilitate the work between the two parts of the ministry in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, also to reduces the state of bureaucracy at work, and to enhance the effectiveness of actions to serve marginalized groups in Gaza Strip. | en |
