dc.description.abstractThis study aims at identifying the reality of crisis management in the Palestinian health sector in light of Corona Epidemic (2020-2021) in Bethlehem Governorate, which is represented by (Bethlehem Health Directorate, Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation, Holy Family Hospital, Caritas Hospital and Al-Yamamah Hospital) in facing crises by identifying the crisis management system in each of them from the workers’ point of view. It also aims at identifying the impact of job title, length of service, job category, gender, age, educational qualification, and workplace variables on the reality of the adopted crisis system in the aforementioned health sector, and identifying the stages of discovering the crisis. The population of the study is (1140) employees from all the above mentioned hospitals, where the questionnaire designed for this purpose was distributed proportionally among the six hospitals for each of them to ensure justice in representation and the sample consists of (288) male and female workers. For the purposes of the study, the researcher used both the descriptive approach and the analytical approach. The results of the study revealed that the reality of crisis management in the Palestinian health sector in Corona Epidemic 2020-2021 in the Bethlehem Governorate in all its stages was in the average level with a mean of (3.52%). It was also found that there are no statistically significant differences in the reality of crisis, according to the variable of gender and years of service. While it was found that there are statistically significant differences in the reality of crisis management in the Palestinian health sector in light of the Corona Epidemic 2020-2021 in the Bethlehem Governorate, as perceived by its workers, according to the variables (place of work, age, job title, educational qualification, occupational category). The study recommends the need to establish crisis management departments in all hospitals and major health centers affiliated with the Palestinian Ministry of Health, to be a fixed part and included within the organizational structure of the ministry, by offering a special budget for these departments and hiring people with experience and competence in the field of crisis management. It also recommends the importance of making crisis management planning as an essential part of the strategic planning of the Ministry of Health so that it contains a clear and understandable model for an approved and applicable crisis management plan that provides the basic elements for the various five stages that represent the integrated perspective of crisis management in addition to paying attention to the privacy of each crisis separately by forming a specialized and temporary team formed specifically to deal with the renewable crises
