The title of this study is “Values in the Dewans of the writers of the ten pomes known as Muallakat, and objective and artistic” this study tackles the most important human values which prevailed in the pre-Islamic ear. Such values represented the morals that should be followed, and they might be counted a constitution for individual and groups. Some of those values were generosity courage, faithfulness, abstinence, patience’s, freedom, rejection of injustice and sanctification of neighborhood, the importance of this study comes from the fact it uncovers an important part of the Arab life before Islam, this part is the moralistic one such morals were preserved and sanctified by the Arabs, who counted those who turned away from those morals as rule valuators. This study indicates also to some of the habits, tradition, and beliefs which prevailed during the pre-Islamic era, and it explains the relations which were established, among individual and communities that time, Among the most important incentives which made me study this subject is the fact that I couldn’t find any independent or comprehensive study regarding values In the pre-Islamic era as an objectives and artistic study within a definite pattern. The few researchers who tackled the subject of morals in the pre-Islamic era discussed it in a general way with no reference to poetry known for its truth fullness. In addition, I really desired to uncover the nature of the Arab morals in the pre-Islamic era in details This study aims to clarify the nature of the Arab way of life in the pre-Islamic era through studying certain pomes. The study supports the opinion which says that pre-Islamic poetry depicted the social and religious life of the preIslamic Arabs, it negates any opposite opinion. One of the previous studies that tackled this side was one titled as “the human values in the pre-Islamic poetry that came in the Dewans of the Mufaddaliyyat and Asmaeyyat” written by Salah-Den Darawshi. Abdul-Ghani Zeitouni tackled the subject of values in a study titled as “Man in the pre-Islamic pottery.” He didn’t focus on a certain poetic collection or a certain poet, but on the contrary, he talked about the subject of the values in general without giving any details that can satisfy researchers thirst for knowledge. The methodology used in this study is that of integral which benefits from various others like the descriptive and the analytic to analyze texts. Furthermore the historic as well as the social methodology has been used to recognize the circumstances of the age and the influential factors. The psychological methodology has been used in order to understand the most important psychological effects and how they are related to the values that poets encouraged. Statistical methodology has been used to study Rims and musical measures. This study has been structured on an introduction, preface, three chapters and an end. The first chapter discusses the Arab way of life in the pre Islamic era. This chapter contains three topics which discuss the triple relations and the relations between tribes and there members, in addition to the prominent habits and traditions that prevailed and that time the second chapter forms the subject of the study. It is titled as “the values in the dewans of the poets of the ten moalakat: and the objective study.” In this chapter the researcher discusses seven topics which present the most important values. These values are generosity, courage, faithfulness, abstinence, patients, freedom, rejection of injustice, and sanctification of neighborhood and the bad morals that contradict such good once. The third chapter is titled as “values in the dewans of the moalakat’s writers: an artistic study.” The research of this chapter discusses the poetic language and style, the artistic picture, rhetoric and poetic rhythm. In the end, the researcher includes the most important results and recommendations. The following are some of these results: the great deal of poetry which tackles the various values. The values of generosity and courage were popular in a striking way this shows that pre-Islamic Arabs appreciated the values generosity and courage over the rest. They believed that these two are the source of other values. The most important recommendations of the study are to study the same subject with other pre-Islamic poets to complete the picture of the values in a way that shows the nature of the morals of the Arabs in the pre-Islamic era in a more comprehensive way.en
