| dc.description.abstract | This research aims to study the modernity in the vertical poetry “Vertical poetry samples in The Prince of Poets competition, an example,” through which we will point out how Arab poets employed the method of modernity in vertical poetry in the twenty-first century that was presented in Prince of Poets show on Abu Dhabi UAE channel. In order to achieve the goal this study seeks, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical method and. Therefore, the researcher divided his study into an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter is poetic modernity, which involves two topics. The first topic is poetic modernity, which explains the emergence of poetic modernity, the concept of modernity in language and as a term, the importance of modernity, as well as its features and traits. The second topic is vertical poetry, which includes the concept of vertical poetry, in addition to illustrating its characteristics and traits. The second chapter is “vertical poetry modernity in the poems of the participants in The Prince of Poets Show,” and it includes three topics. The first topic is modernity of content and thought, the second is modernity of style, the third is language, and the fourth is poetic modernity. The third chapter is “Critical Opinions on the Poetry of the Participants in The Prince of Poets show,” and it includes two topics. The first topic indicates several critical opinions on poetic modernity, and the second is the critical opinions on the poems of the poets participating in the TV show. Finally, the researcher concluded his research with a set of outcomes. To illustrate, poetic modernity has been preserved by Arab scholars and critics without regard to whether they were opposing or supporting modernity. Also, the poets participating in The Prince of Poets show have a poetic energy that deserves the attention of Arabic language scholars, it also deserves the critical study that would reveal the richness of their poetic experiences. In addition, the poets who participated in the show were proficient in employing poetic modernity. Moreover, they were capable of demonstrating their poetic skills through being able to deliver their messages, which its meanings and proposes were easy to comprehend and understand, to their readers and listeners. They have decorated their poems with fancy artistic expressions that insinuate greater meanings. Accordingly, the study has reached a number of recommendations: such as conducting a critical study on the poems that were presented in all seasons of the show. | |
