Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of a proposed (training and nutritional) program on the development of certain physical attributes, physiological variables, and anthropometric measures among youth football players in Palestine. The research sample consisted of 40 youth players who were randomly distributed into two equivalent groups. The first group (experimental) implemented the proposed training program, while the second group (control) followed their regular training routine. The first group (experimental) implemented the proposed training program, while the second group (control) followed their regular training routine. The researcher employed the experimental method, as it aligns with the nature and objectives of the study, utilizing the pre-posttest design for both the experimental and control groups. To collect and analyze data relevant to the research topic, the researcher used the SPSS software, version 23. The results revealed statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) between pre- and post-test means in most physical attributes, physiological variables, and anthropometric measures in favor of the post-test results of the experimental group. These improvements were attributed to the applied training and nutritional program. Conversely, no significant changes were observed in the control group between the pre- and post-tests. The researcher recommended integrating training programs with nutritional programs due to their substantial role in enhancing and developing players' performance across all levels. Additionally, the researcher urged the Palestinian Football Association to monitor clubs and academies and enact regulations requiring them to implement nutritional programs, particularly for youth and junior players. Keywords:Training Program, Nutritional Program, Physical Attributes, Physiological Variables, Anthropometric Variables.
