Abstract
The study aimed to identify the role of strategic management in improving organizational performance using the Balanced Scorecard at Al-Quds University. The researcher used the analytical descriptive method. The study population consists of all the staff and academics at Al-Quds University who hold administrative positions (Dean, director of the institute / center, head of academic department, head of department) from 2019, the number of members of the study population was (170) staff and academic, a sample was taken from (108) employees and academic, and analyzed data obtained using the package program Statistical Social Sciences (SPSS)0202 . The most important findings of the study were the role of strategic management in improving the institutional performance using the Balanced Scorecard at Al-Quds University was high. The results showed that the extent of the implementation of strategic management at Al-Quds University from the point of view of its employees was high. The extent of the use of Balanced Scorecard in its dimensions at Al-Quds University from the point of view of its employees was very high. The results also showed that the effect of Balanced Scorecard on measuring the role of strategic management in improving the institutional performance in Al Quds University from the point of view of its employees. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level between the average responses of the study sample members towards the role of strategic management in improving the institutional performance using the Balanced Scorecard at Al-Quds University due to gender variable. Level ≤ between the average responses of the study sample members towards the role of strategic management in improving the institutional performance using the Balanced Scorecard at Al-Quds University due to the variable (scientific qualification, job title, years of experience). With a set of recommendations here: Highlighting the role and importance of strategic management in raising the corporate performance management and performance of employees at the University of Jerusalem, and to provide training activities targeted to uphold strategic management standards among members of the educational leadership level.
