Abstract
This study aimed at identifying the role of governmental secondary schools'
principals in achieving a safe school environment from the teachers' point of
view in Hebron Governorate. The study was conducted on a sample of (275)
male and female teachers working in governmental schools in Hebron
governorate, it was chosen in a stratified random manner from the
population which was (2762) teachers. The study adopted the descriptive
method through using the questionnaire as a tool to collect data.
The study revealed the following results: The role of governmental
secondary school's principals in Hebron governorate in achieving a safe
school environment from the teachers' point of view was high. The means
average for the total score was (4.00).
The results revealed that there were no statistically significant differences
due to (years of experience, educational qualification, directorate(, while
there were significant differences due to the gender preferring to females
Based on those results, the researcher recommended to:
1. Increase awareness of the concept of the safe school environment for
workers in governmental schools.
2. Hold training courses for school principals on achieving a safe school
environment.
3. Form a specialized team from the Ministry of Education and
directorates to follow up to achieve a safe school environment in
schools.
4. Conduct future studies on the impact of the school environment Safe
for: student motivation, achievement, psychological adjustment,
psychological security, professional compatibility... etc
