dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to examine the impact of MEAL practices with its dimensions in the study, which represented by (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) on achieving institutional excellence in NGOs in the southern Palestinian governorates. The study used the descriptive analytical approach to disclose the impact of MEAL practices on achieving institutional excellence, the questionnaire was designed and used to collect primary data from the study sample, as the questionnaire tool was applied to workers at the upper and middle administrative levels from (28) NGOs The organizations were selected by using the purpositive sampling method, where (168) questionnaires were distributed, and (158) questionnaires were recovered, with a recovery rate of (94.05%), in addition to implementing (5) interviews with managers of NGOs. The study reached a set of results; the most important were the existence of a positive correlation between MEAL practices and its dimensions in the study and the achievement of institutional excellence in addition to a positive and statistically significant impact of MEAL practices in achieving institutional excellence in NGOs in the southern Palestinian governorates The study also found that there were no differences in the respondents' responses to the two study variables: MEAL practices and institutional excellence due to the demographic variables that are: (gender, age, educational qualification, and number of years of service). The study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important were: recommends NGOs that they should enhance their commitment of adopting and applying aspects of MEAL practices in order to improve the mechanism of work implementation in their service, community and development projects in a way that contributes enhancing the confidence of the financiers and the target groups The study also recommends NGOs that they should work to implement workshops for target groups and service recipients in order to know the extent to which their programs and projects meet the needs of them. Which contributes to strengthen the organizations' ability to distinguish the quality of their services and to build a bridge of trust between organizations and beneficiaries, Moreover, the financiers, in a way that contributes to the sustainability of its financing and thus the sustainability of its services provided to the target audience.
