Abstract
The study aimed to identify the role of participatory development planning in developing childhood programs in civil society organizations (CSOs), the researcher adopted the descriptive and analytical approach to study the phenomenon and describe its nature and determine the role between its variables, causes, and trends. The study used both the questionnaire and structured interviews to collect primary data. The researcher used the simple random sample method, while the interview tool was relied upon to assess the reality of participatory development planning, evaluate implemented childhood programs, and arrive at recommendations that support the development of childhood programs through participatory development planning. One of the most important results of the study, is the high degree of approval by the study sample on the participatory development planning in its seven dimensions, and on the axis of developing childhood programs with very high approval. The results of the study also showed a positive effect of participatory development planning represented by (The human dimension, the institutional or administrative dimension, and the legal dimension) on the development of childhood programs, while it was found that there is no effect for each of (the economic dimension, the time dimension, the informational dimension, the spatial dimension) on the development of childhood programs, and the study also showed the existence of a positive correlation between participatory development planning and the development of childhood programs. The study recommended the management of Union of Health Work Committees to focus on actively involving the parties of the relationship when developing economic plans for Fundraising for activities related to childhood programs, in addition to preparing needs studies in partnership with the relevant parties to take into account the spatial implementation of those activities according to the priority needs of marginalized areas With the need to activate the means of communication with the parties of the local community to enable them to access information on the implemented activities by the UHWC and associated with them. It also recommended that civil society organizations (CSOs) working in the field of childhood focus on following the methodology of participatory development planning in planning their programs, in a way that contributes to In developing programs according to the needs and desires of the beneficiaries.
