Abstract
The study aimed to measure the impact of microfinance on sustainable development in Palestine during the period from “2013 to 2020”. The study used the descriptive analytical approach and the measurable approach through two models, the first is to test the impact of microfinance on the economic aspect of the sustainable development, while the second model is to test the impact of microfinance on the social aspect of sustainable development. The study used the time chains data which concluded that contain the economic changes on the unit root, which means unstable through time and the changes became stable post the first variation. Also the vector error correction model (VECM) was used to estimate the impact of microfinance on economic aspect of sustainable development. In addition, to use the vector autoregressive model (VAR) to estimate the impact of microfinance on the social aspect of sustainable development in Palestine using (Eviews11) program. The study concluded with a set of results, the most important is the existence of a long term relationship between the independent variables (total sum of microfinance portfolio and the number of borrowers in Palestine) and economic and social aspect of sustainable development in Palestine. Also there is a short and long term correlation between the independent variables (total sum of microfinance portfolio and the active borrowers) and the economic aspect of the sustainable development in Palestine in which the period needed to modify was 0.35% of year. Also there is an impact for each of the total sum of microfinance portfolio and active borrowers of Palestine on the sustainable development. On the light of the previous results, the study recommends to continue funding and support of small and medium enterprises to overcome the obstacles facing projects in Palestine and also to find marketing and promotion tools for products and services that would achieve sustainability for these projects.
