Abstract
study aimed to identify the contemporary geographical technologies included in
geography books for secondary school in Palestine. To achieve the study objectives, the
researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach. The study community and sample
consisted of all geography books for secondary school in Palestine, which number three books
prescribed by the Ministry of Education for the academic year 2024-2025. The researcher
prepared a content analysis framework tool to analyze geography books for secondary school
in Palestine. The results of the study showed that geography books included all dimensions of
contemporary geography technologies in geography books prescribed for secondary school
grades, but with varying relative weights. The results also showed that modern geography
technologies were embodied in an unequal manner, as they were 98.8% in eleventh grade
books and 1.2% in twelfth grade books. Sensor technology came after the most frequent
among the dimensions of contemporary geography technologies, followed by geographic
information systems, followed by GPS technology, then photogrammetry, and Google Earth
maps technology came in last place. Based on the results of the study, the researcher
recommended that the in-depth inclusion of geographical technology dimensions be adopted
and the principles of continuity and sequence be achieved in this regard between the courses
