| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed at identifying the degree of university administrations' support for professional learning communities in the Palestinian universities from the academic point of view, to achieve the aim of the study, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (43) items distributed into five domains: shared and supportive leadership, shared values and vision, group learning and application of learning, supportive conditions and relationships, supportive conditions - structures. Its validity and reliability were verified by appropriate statistical methods, and then distributing it to the study population consisting of three Palestinian universities: (Palestine Technical University / Kadouri, Bethlehem University, Al-Aqsa University) for the academic year 2020/2021. The number of (990) individuals are distributed among (368) academics at Palestine Technical University / Kadouri, (202) academics at Bethlehem University, and (420) academics at Al Aqsa University. To support our hypothesis; a random sample which consists of (176) academics have been choosen from the study population, and the descriptive method was used for its relevance for it. The results of the study showed that the support of university administrations for professional learning communities in Palestinian universities from the academic point of view was moderate, Where the arithmetic mean of the overall score was (3.51), and the results of the study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of university administrations' support for professional learning communities in Palestinian universities due to: University variable, years of experience, while the results showed the existence of differences attributed to the gender variable in favor of females, and the academic rank in favor of Proffesor. In light of these findings of the study, the researcher suggested a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: Encouraging universities to implement and practice professional learning communities, in the framework of the pursuit of better education for students. | |
