Abstract
Since the subject of this study is related to one of the Holy Quran chapters, which is Surat Saba', it is important to reveal syntactic evidences and issues in Surat Saba' and show the interpretations of the linguists and their grammatical analysis and opinions which prove that the Holy Quran is rich in its intellectual and linguistic meaning. This is the reason that makes me chose the Holy Quran as a field of my syntactic study. Surat Saba' contains many linguistic structures that show the greatness of the Quran. Also, within the limits of my knowledge, no one of the students tackle Surat Saba' as a semantic grammatical study that is based on full analysis of all of its verses. In this study, I use integrative method without restricting myself with one approach. The first main part of the study "the syntactic study" depends on descriptive approach, and the statistical approach. This part is divided into two chapters. The first one talks about predicative sentences in Surat Saba'. This chapter also contains two parts. The first part contains the nominal clause and its types in Surat Saba'. The second part contains the Verbal clause and its types in Surat Saba'. The second part of the chapter talks about adjectives, adverbs, exceptions, and their types in Surat Saba'. This is also divided into three parts. The first one talks about the complements and their types in Surat Saba'. The second talks about the adverb and its types in Surat Saba'. Also, the third tackles the exception and its types in Surat Saba'. The second main part of the study which entitled "semantic study" is divided into three sub parts. The first part talks about request statement and its indications in Surat Saba'. This part is also divided into many sub parts: The first part talks about the imperative. The second part talks about the interdiction. The third part talks about the interrogation. The fourth chapter talks about the vocative. The fifth part talks about optative mood. The second chapter talks about omission and its indications in Surat Saba'. It is also divided into many parts: The first part talks about the omission of the Subject phrase. The second part talks about the omission of the predicate. The third part talks about the omission of the ه verb. The fourth part talks about the omission of the subject. The fifth part talks about the omission of the object. The six part talks about the omission of the genitive. The seventh part talks about the substantive. The eight part talks about the apodosis. The third chapter talks about the inversion and its indications in Surat Saba'. It contains a number of parts. The first part talks about introducing the predicate. The second part talks about introducing the object. The third part talks about the types of inversion. The study came up with many important results. First, the variety of the types of the predicative sentence which consists of nominal clause and verbal clause. Also, it achieves rhetorical semantics according to the systematic context that it occurred in. In addition, there is a strong connection and relationship between the syntax and semantic in the context of the verses in Surat Saba'. Furthermore, the form of induction is very important and common in this Sura. The purpose of it is to provide the brevity. Also, there are a lot of request sentences such as, imperative, interrogative, vocative, and optative. Also, the inversion and its indications in Surat Saba' has the diversity to include introducing the predicate and the object. The most important recommendation is that the rhetoric in the Quran still needs many efforts of researchers to reveal its rhetorical methods and properties.
