dc.description.abstractThis study aimed at identifying the relationship between the degree of principals' practice of strategic management and the degree of teachers' performance from the viewpoints of teachers at government schools in Hebron governorate. The study population consisted of all (7962) teachers at government schools in Hebron governorate for the second semester of 2012 \ 2013. A stratified random sample of (504) teachers has been selected. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher developed a questionnaire. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were verified by using appropriate statistical methods. The results showed that the degree of principals' practice of strategic management from the perspective of teachers at government schools in Hebron governorate was high. The degree of teachers' performance at government schools in Hebron governorate was high from the viewpoints of teachers themselves; there also was a significant correlation between the variables of principals' practice of strategic management and teachers' performance. The study demonstrated that there are no significant statistical differences in the degree of principals' practice of strategic management due to the variables (sex, qualification, number of years of experience, and specialty), while it showed a significant statistical difference due to the variable of directorate, in favor of Hebron and north of Hebron directorates over the south. The study showed no significant statistical differences in the degree of teachers' performance due to the variables of (sex of the teacher, qualification, and specialty), while it showed significant statistical differences in the degree of teachers' performance due to the variables of number of years of experience and directorate, in favor of over 10 years ز of experience and the directorates of Hebron and north of Hebron over the south. In light of the results, the researcher recommended the following: Brochures concerning strategic management should be prepared by the Ministry of Education and distributed to teachers. A clear and fair evaluation system of teacher should be implemented by the Ministry of Education.en
