| dc.description.abstract | This study took place in the period of September 2012 and February 2013 with the aim of identifying the reality of financial and administrative performance of the olive presses cooperative associations operating in the governorate of Salfit. The study population consisted of the management committee members of the olive presses cooperative associations who were (72) while (18) members were selected using the systematic random sample method representing by that (25%) of the population. In order to achieve the objectives of the study the researcher has adopted the descriptive approach as it is appropriate for his study and has designed a questionnaire consisting of (51) items distributed on five areas. The forms were distributed to the targeted study sample. The results of the study opposed the working reality of local Palestinian cooperative associations of various kinds as it came in contrary with most of the revised studies that have been referred to. The results indicated that the administrative and financial performance of the olive presses cooperative associations operating in Salfit was high and that the culture reality of the cooperative’s members was also deemed to be high and positive. In addition, the training operations carried out by the cooperative associations for its members were relatively high and positive. Overall results showed that the performance assessment of the institutions related to the cooperative associations work were high. The study recommends the necessity to design specialized training programs related to the work of the cooperatives and that the competent authorities of the associations carry out the follow-up and guidance using modern methods.
