Abstract
The current study aimed at addressing the effect of reflecting the level of empowerment of young people to participate in political life (such as participation in political decision-making, elections, nomination and candidacy, joining parties and clubs, freedom to volunteer in social work, and achieving the concept of political participation as a right and a national duty) to achieve the desired development in reality Palestinian.
This field study targeted Palestinian university students in the southern governorates (Gaza Strip), and used the descriptive analytical method to study the reflection of the level of youth empowerment to participate in political life on development. Both primary and secondary sources were used to collect data, and secondary information sources were surveyed Al Maktabi for the literature related to the subject of the study. As for primary sources, the questionnaire was relied upon as a tool in collecting primary data. The size of the study population reached (441) students, and the random sample method was followed in the process of distributing the questionnaire, (441) questionnaires were retrieved, with a 100% recovery rate from the study population.
The study also showed a number of results, the most important of which is the presence of a low degree of approval on the first axis of the study, which is enabling young people to participate in political life, which was reflected in the results of the dimensions as having a low approval after the participation of young people in making political decisions, and also the presence of a low degree of approval at a distance Youth participation in the elections is nominated and nominated, and the results also showed a high degree of approval on the second axis: the reflection of participation in the political life of youth on development.
The study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the need to enhance attention to the youth generation as the main component of society, and it is the responsibility of construction and development, and also the need to adopt a strategy for developing political awareness of youth, which qualifies them for effective political participation, and through which they can achieve the desired development in Palestinian

society, and recommended the need for different political parties to open the way for young people to take up legislative positions within the parties, open horizons for training on those tasks, and for the official establishment through government programs of various ministries to promote a culture Democracy and youth participation, as well as civil society organizations' role in fostering a culture of accepting the other and dialogue between the various currents that lead to enabling young people to consciously participate in political life.
