| dc.description.abstract | This research aims to study the phenomena of incidence of metaphor in the Holy Quran whence proving it. Many studies about metaphor have been conducted more than any other rhetorical subjects by scientists and legists for it's important and relation of it's incidence in the god's book. I depended in my research on many resources of information related to this subject. The research conducted within a descriptive study of this phenomena; tracked "metaphor" throughout a sharp perspective of the resources. Chapter One: Includes talking about the fact of metaphor whence defining it in parlance and terminology; in turn I talked about fact then defining it in parlance and terminology. Then; I talked about the difference between fact and metaphor; also talked in chapter about motivations to study metaphor and tracked development of it's study by ancient Arab rhetoricals and conversationalists; where I chose the most prominent of them to view their opinions in this subject. Chapter Two: Parts of metaphor: mental metaphor; metonymy; metaphor; and showing the aesthetic value of metaphoric text. At the end; I talked about general metaphoric concepts. Chapter Three: I talked about "Reality School" the most famous of those who denied metaphor and it's incidence in Quran are Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziya of the ancients and Al-Shanqiti of the Contemporary. I viewed the opinions in denying metaphor incidence in Quran and discussed it; in addition to disproved it after illustrating their evidences. It become clear in conclusion of this research that denying incidence of metaphor wasn't meaning fully a denial; it was just defending the Holy Quran due to surface metaphoric interpretations interpreted according to moods and fancies by different sects and faiths. Thus; I followed conclusion by a summary taken through pens of Arab geniuses of legists and scientists and rhetoricals; from which we came to the "Results" in this simple research represented in complete approval of incidence of metaphor in the Holy Quran. | en |
