The Salafi trend in Egypt tried to adapt to the prevailing situation after the revolution of January 25, 2011 and accept the electoral process in which he found the only way to reach the political power that enables him to put forward his ideas and try to promote them, but the different positions between several streams in it raised a lot of controversy worthy of study, Especially after the sudden and rapid transformation towards participation in the political system after rejection and isolation was the prevailing position in this trend. The study aims to identify the role of the Salafi trend in the Egyptian political system and to show the transformation that has emerged on the current thought of political participation and political action. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the historical approach and descriptive approach to discuss the evolution of the Salafi trend in its historical context and study it with criticism and analysis. The study came in four chapters, The first chapter deals with the general framework of the study and the previous studies while the second chapter reviews the concept and origin of Salafism and its propagation methods until reaching Egypt, The third chapter presents the political thought of the Salafi trend and its position on the issues of democracy, civil state and citizenship in Egypt, The fourth was devoted by the researcher to identify the political orientation of the Salafi trend in Egypt in terms of discourse and practice. The study showed several results, including: The duality of discourse of the Salafist trend and confusion of decisions due to the absence of political experience and mixing political advocacy, and the entry of the Salafi trend of political life in Egypt in the wake of the revolution of January 25, 2011 was not a departure from the intellectual structure of the current, but a return to the original, delay was not out of the public sphere in a broad sense, but from the door of the political and security reality accounts, and that despite the achievements of the Salafist movement represented by the participation of the light of the political forefront of the current party in eight electoral benefits during the period of 2011- 2015, but to me a fatal loss In the parliamentary elections of 2015, which he fought alone for his inability to reconcile the advocacy and politics, where he lost his alliances and inability to form alliances with the various political forces, and that the justifications and pretexts presented by the Salafi trend to reconcile the advocacy component and the political component did not serve him and brought him negative results in his quest to compete for the political future of Egypt, which made him vulnerable to criticism from inside and outside the camp and caused splits in its ranks and increased incitement from other political forces campaigns, which marginalized his role in the political system, Where the criticism directed at him in the case of failure either success, all bless, failure orphaned not his father and his success A thousand father, and that in spite of the positive changes in the attitude of the current population In regard to the rights of citizenship for both women and Copts, but the situation does not include a clear commitment to a jurist. All religious parties in general and Islamic in particular are moving in the form of advocacy when they are weak and quickly turn to the political when they find themselves strong, the Islamic trend takes it inversely according to the available, armed with the Prophet's speech - peace be upon him - three-dimensional: (Who saw you denigrated Let him change his hand, If he could not Vbsnh, if he could not Vblbh, and the weakest faith).en
