Abstract
This study aimed to identify the nature of attention deficit hyper activity disorder and its relationship to some maladaptive behaviors among children with autism from the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate. The first semester of the academic year 2020/2021 on a sample that consisted of (72) male and female workers, and the researcher used the descriptive correlative approach in this study, where the researcher prepared two tools for the study, which relate to the extent of knowledge of the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate with attention deficit disorder Hyperactivity and its relationship to some maladaptive behaviors in children with autism disorder. The researcher verified the validity and reliability of the two tools, and the data were processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program using arithmetic means, standard deviations, Pearson's correlation coefficient test and One Way ANOVA. The study concluded that the total degree of the study sample’s estimates of the realities of attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity disorder from the point of view of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate came to a medium degree, and also concluded that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05) of the degree of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder among children with autism disorder from the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education due to the variables (sex, specialization, educational qualification, and years of experience). The study also concluded that the field estimates of the reality of maladaptive behaviors among children with autism from the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate are moderately, and that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α≤ 0.05) for some maladaptive behaviors. Persons with autism disorder from the point of view of workers in the field of special education due to the variables (gender, specialization, educational qualification, and years of experience). Finally, the study found a strong positive correlation between the degree of attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity and some maladaptive behaviors among children with autism disorder from the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate. Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommended conducting studies in more depth, by changing the study tool, such as: conducting interviews, and as a result of the generality of the results, the researcher suggests conducting studies with another approach, such as a case study
