Abstract
This study aimed to shed light on the impacts of globalization on international security in the first decade of the third millennium, and to study the new challenges and threats posed by globalization on international security and the various security services. Also the study focused on the international security cooperation, and examined the importance of this type of cooperation in reducing the problems of organized crime and terrorism, and to emphasize the importance of security cooperation between the various security services, and the role of this cooperation in the reduction of risks and threats, and the importance of Arab security services benefit from the experience and expertise of Western security services in this area. The study also aimed to shed light on the evolution of globalization, and what had emerged from this evolution of threats and challenges to security, social, cultural and traditional issues that existed before globalization and specifically in the Arab world and third world countries, where the process of transferring effects of security, social and cultural cooperation between countries takes a lot of time and effort, where the opposite happens in the era of globalization. So it is no longer feasible to deal with these challenges and threats as usual. The descriptive analytical method was followed in this study, where the phenomenon of globalization and international security and the relationship between them were described by accurate descriptions. Aspects of this phenomenon were selected and the nature and quality of the relationship between the variables and their causes and trends were described, through the collection of information on this relationship and by return to the studies published about it. The results were interpreted to determine the relationships between globalization and international security. The analysis of the study was depended mainly on the analysis of studies and reality, where it had shown relationships and effects through observation and scrutiny. The main conclusion of the results of this study was the important and influential role played by globalization and its impacts on the security aspect at all levels (personal, national, regional and international). Modern technological evolution in communication, transportation and the ease to be obtained and used by members of the community had led to difficulties in the control and maintenance of security and stability. The results also showed clearly that cooperation between the various security services in dealing with threats to international peace and security contributed better to the reduction of these challenges, however, threats to international peace and security still exist, and the tools and means of globalization have contributed in the spread of terrorism, organized crime and social diseases cross-borders, where it facilitated the work of terrorist networks and organized crime by creating space that allows them to communicate freely and confidentially.
