Abstract
This study, “ Angels in the Holy Quran, aGrammatical Symantic study" depends on the version 285, where the Angels were mentioned in the Holy Quran, and on making the evidences within the limits of the versions where the Angels wrer mentioned. In his study, the researcher handled two levels of the Angels: The firist level is the Grammarian Level which showed the correspandence between the rules of the grammarians and the rules of the Quranic text. This correspondence confirms that the Holy Quran was a source of inspiring the rules of the grammarians and the source of their ingual protest. The second level is the Symantic level as the pronunciation gains in the suructure another meaning expressed by the context, which is the general meaning which conjucates the meaning of the word and marks it with its feature with coalition with other words. The Thesis included an introduction, three chapters and conclusion. Each chapter included several subjects; each subject talked about a specific aspect in the subject of the Thesis. The First chapter handled the Angels in the Holy Quran. The reseacher started to define the Angels in language and term, then the tupes of the Angels, their functions and characteristics and making a table of the places where they were mentioned in the Holy Quran. Then, the researcher handled in the Second chapter the "Angels in the Grammatical context". The researcher divided this chapter into its components in atechnical division based in the grammar in nominative cases, objective cases, genetive cases and followings; he gathered the separated thingin one position if their sustax cases were united. In the Third chapter, "Angels in the Context of predicate and Composition", the predicate handled confirmation, definition and indefinition, precedence and delaying, omission and mentioning, and limitation. In composition, the researcher handled the imperative, inhibition, wishing, interrogative and vocative. The researcher handled the analysis of the syntax of the version and the purpose of its context, and he focussed on the grammatical and rehetoric texts in the grammar and rhetoric books in order to highlight the purposes which such styles performeed through the version, and register the meanings resulted from the relationships between thr grammatical suructures. The importance of the resarch lies in that it indicates to issues and matters related to the Arabic grammar through its know chapters as the subject is related to the Holy Quran and the performance of the Lord of the Worlds in talking about the Angels, and this has great importance and needs examination and insight. The researcher, in his study, followed the descriptive and analytical methodolgy. The researcher concluded his thesis with anumber of results included the following: In the grammatical text, this research confirmed that the Holy Quran enriched the grammar of the Arabic language and supplied it with concrete rules and best styles. It also revealed the greatness of these creatures (Angels), as all the grammatical subjects came to indicate the extreme pierfectness and greatness of the Angels (Peace be upon them) and to indicate their great position in appreciation by the Almighty God Therefore, it is not strange that belief in the Angels is the second pillor of the Islamic religion. Confirmation on the necessity of studying the Quranic text in the context of the relation between grammar and meaning; In the predicative context, the confirmation varried from symantic confirmation, meaning confirmation, and confirmation with artocles to confirm the dignity of the Angels, their obedience and faith. The Angels were mostly mentioned in adefinet form because the versions talk about important matters, related to religion, So they need to be defined. The stule of omission formed amagnificent phenonenon; so, the letter was omitted, the verb was omitted and the noun was omitted the stimulate thinking to unders fond the the meaning of omission. Precedence and delaying was for rhetoric motives which appeared in accordance with the text where they were found such as allocation, limitation and concern. But limitation was used to confirm that the Angels were sent with right. The demanding context achieved anumber of various rhetoric syntaxes. The nidependent symantics with its self approach gave aconventioned dictianary meanings. and in the structure it gave agrammatical meaning; and in the context it gave asyntax meaning. The original meanings were not neglected by they were brought to show the meanings to which they went form their original meaning, and to clarify their positional and context syntax in the version. If there is a need for recommendation, I recomned to concentrate on the general meaning ful dimension which each grammatical function performs
